General statement
The Medhurst Group, comprising Medhurst Communications, Hugh Symons, and EdEquity, is a professional and environmentally responsible organisation operating within the information technology sector. We recognise that our activities, products and services have the potential to impact the environment, and we are committed to managing these impacts in a proactive and sustainable manner.
Environmental protection is an integral part of our business strategy, decision-making and operational methods. We are committed to continual improvement of our environmental performance and to reducing our environmental footprint across all areas of our operations. We actively encourage our customers, suppliers, subcontractors and other interested parties to adopt similarly responsible environmental practices.
Aims and objectives
- Protect and preserve the environment in all areas of our operations.
- Identify our legal obligations and comply with, or where possible exceed, all relevant environmental legislation and codes of practice.
- Regularly evaluate environmental performance through monitoring non-conformances, reviewing objectives and targets, and conducting management reviews.
- Allocate appropriate resources to achieve our environmental commitments.
- Prevent pollution, minimise waste, and implement practical measures to safeguard the environment.
- Consider the environmental and social impact of our activities on the local community.
- Take action to eliminate or reduce any adverse environmental impacts identified.
- Ensure directors and management remain fully engaged in the oversight and management of environmental issues.
- Maintain effective and timely incident control, investigation, and reporting processes.
- Assess and, where practicable, reduce the environmental impact associated with our products and services.
Directors and management are responsible for implementing this policy and must ensure that environmental issues are given adequate consideration in the planning and day-to-day supervision of all work. All employees and subcontractors are expected to co-operate in its implementation. The Directors have overall responsibility and accountability for environmental matters.
